Ivy has an impressive background. He earned a degree in English from Sewanee: The University of the South. After completion of his undergraduate degree, he went on to earn a master’s degree in architecture from Tulane University. Over the course of his career, he’s gone on to earn  impressive honors and been involved with many important projects in this field. His writing has attracted many kudos by those who look to him to help explain how great design can help improve the world that people live and work in each day. In 1996, he assumed the role of Editor in Chief of a publication called Architectural Record. In the process, he’s helped increase standards for writing about architecture and provide high quality journalism and writing for his fellow architects.
